The General Services Administration (GSA) celebrates its 71st birthday!
On July 1st, 1949, President Harry S. Truman signed the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act into law. The act was aimed at simplifying the procurement, utilization and disposal of government property and to reorganize certain agencies of the government.
71 years later, GSA is still operating and is now used by hundreds of government agencies. FCC has been utilizing GSA since 2006 and one of the very first contracts was awarded using GSA.
