FCC helped deliver this impressive Weiler D460 Rockdrill to the U.S. Air Force located on the island of Guam. The D460 uses a powerful Cat C7 engine to drill blast holes into shallow rock surfaces that allow workers to clear rock structures. Additionally, it has a carousel rod changer that holds 45 mm and 51 mm diameter rods with a multi-pass hole depth of 102.5’. With a heavy-duty frame, boom and feed handle this product can handle the toughest conditions.
Located in Knoxville, Iowa, Weiler manufactures a diverse line of products that are designed to fit any need. While they first started building 84 motor graders in 2000, they have expanded over the years creating thousands of commercial pavers, road wideners, compactors, and windrow elevators. Most recently Weiler created “Weiler Forestry” after entering into an agreement to purchase Caterpillar’s purpose-built forestry business. The purchase included operations facilities in LaGrange, GA, Smithfield, NC, and Auburn, AL.
What makes Weiler products superior is their proven designs that have a successful track record in the field. Weiler works closely with contractors to ensure that their products offer the essential features they require to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner. Weiler has grown from its humble start in a 40,000 square foot building 20 years ago to now being an industry-leading manufacturer with products shipped all across the country.
We are excited to partner with such a hard-working and reliable company, and we look forward to working with Weiler closely in the future to bring their remarkable products to any federal agency.
