Clark, Tricia, and Steve represented Federal Contracts Corp at GIDEX (Governmental Idea Exchange) 2019, which was the highest attended show in GIDEX history! GIDEX began about 20 years ago with only a few Caterpillar dealers who gathered to discuss issues and challenges in governmental business. Since then, the Caterpillar group has grown to 40 Cat dealers, and is hosted by a different Caterpillar dealership each year. This year’s show was hosted by Yancey Bros. Co., who did a wonderful job with the venue in Savannah. This was a great opportunity for Clark, Tricia, and Steve to meet with many of our Caterpillar dealers as well as multiple procurement agents.
Not only was this show a great networking opportunity for Federal Contracts Corp, Clark, Tricia, and Steve were able to have some fun during an FCC-sponsored Casino Night. The night was full of entertainment with a dinner on historic Bay Street and even a ghost walking tour!
Shows like GIDEX are so important to Federal Contracts Corp because it keeps us current with the newest innovations in the industry and helps us understand the issues that procurement agents face every day. Being able to reach out to procurement agents to help solve some of their issues with the newest technology in the heavy equipment industry is what we love to do! It is wonderful to see so many Caterpillar dealers come together with the mission to increase solutions in government heavy equipment procurement.
Overall, GIDEX was a successful trip and proved to be a lot of fun for Clark, Tricia, Steve, many dealers, and procurement agents. Federal Contracts Corp would like to thank Yancey Cat for a wonderful job hosting this year’s GIDEX in Savannah. We hope to see you at next year’s show!
